”We are extremely happy with our recently completed Momentum pool and spa.

We had several quotes, but Dom’s can-do attitude and reputation for efficiency and quality finish made the decision for us. Momentum Pools was also able to do all the paving, pool fences, side walls and rendering which made the project much easier for us,as they took care of all the details.

We had an extremely difficult site to fit a pool and spa into. A courtyard with an unused 2.9m strip beside garage. Momentum transformed this area into a fully tiled 12.5 m x 2.5 pool with play area and fabulous spa, with in floor cleaning, solar and gas heating. The pool design has made maximum use of every inch, and given is exactly what we hoped for.

Installing the pool required careful underpinning and piers to protect existing structures before the pool could go in. Momentum did this quickly and efficiently, with guys arriving every day to do the various jobs. The men were always pleasant and tidy. Communication with the office or Dom was always timely. The pool build did indeed take 8 weeks!

I would not hesitate to recommend Momentum or to use them again.”

It is with great pleasure that I recommend Dominic Schuiling and his company Momentum Pools. I have known Dominic for approximately 25 years and enjoyed a working relationship with him during the past 20.

Dominic and his company have worked as the main pool builder with Neumode Design and Construction as the design and construction specialist. They have worked on many of our residential building projects including period renovations, extensions and new homes. Dominic has always displayed competency in the trade and a comprehensive knowledge of pool building gained through his education and on site experience.

Over the years I have had total faith in Dominic and his company as they have been responsible for the successful operation of multiple jobs simultaneously including coordinating his own teams of tradesman including, excavators, steel fixers, pool plumbers, concreters, tillers & landscapers as well as other subtrades, material estimating and ordering, liaising with clients, maintaining O.H.S work practices, daily progress reports and quality control.

Dominic has an excellent ability to interoperate complex documentation and to be able to work on difficult sites he also provides practical and cost saving ideas where possible.

Dominic is also very capable of dealing with and coordinating external consultants including architects, engineers, councils & geotechnical engineers, etc.

Dominic is a very efficient organised person that only needs simple instructions to carry out complex tasks.

Dominic has always displayed a high degree of integrity and ambition and is a responsible and dependable person. I have continuously had peace of mind knowing that Dominic has been in a position to represent myself and my company and have no hesitation in recommending him. I would also not hesitate in engaging Dominic and his company for any pool works we carry out. I quite often attend site meetings with subcontractors and clients, however with Dominic that is rarely required as he is totally capable of representing my company as a pool building specialist and salesman. We had an architect design our new home and pool who recommended a number of contractors to quote works – we followed the architects recommendations and engaged the services of Momentum who throughout the whole process were professional, informative and unerringly transparent. My husband noted, Dominic’s statement during the initial quoting, “ that if we didn’t make any changes to the agreed works in the contract, the contract price would be the final price”.

Our project took nearly 18 months to finish from the time Momentum Pools were engaged, to when works were completed as the house works where large in scope. One and half years later the pool was complete with no variation to the contract price – as noted by my husband ( and if only we could say the same of the house builder……!)

We researched widely, attended the Pool / Spa show, had multiple quotes and even spoke to the proprietor of the local pool shop. WE wanted someone who would provide a comprehensive service including the pool and spa we wanted, pool paving surround and fencing detail.

To say we were a little naïve about the process was an understatement: the first quote we got off a company we heard advertising on the radio tried to get us to agree to a project valued at $60,000 after a 1 hour discussion – “I couldn’t believe it”; other companies who quoted the project couldn’t offer the comprehensive service we wanted –nor seemed willing to invest the time and refine the detail with us; Dominic from Momentum Pools walked through the site with us and seemed to come pre-prepared with a series of questions and ideas that really got us thinking about not just what we wanted ( – we wanted a pool!), but what we needed and would use.

WE ended up with a slightly smaller pool ( – leaving according to Dominic, “more backyard for the kids to use 12 months of the year and not just in swimming season”); a much smaller pool paving surround ( – Dom’s “pool builders phrase”) which I think was a better use of space we would never have considered; please note this bravery and willingness to cede to the direction of others was infinitely easier as Dom, drew it all into a 3D design program which seemed to be a revelation after listening to the words and crude hand drawn sketches offered by others. And finally I wouldn’t have bothered writing this if they didn’t back up the great concepts and ideas – with old fashioned “hands on tools”, building and service. Thank you.

We love working with Dominic from Momentum pools – we work on renovations and new builds and Dominic is able to assist us and our clients with new pools and the renovation of old pools.

Dominic’s years of hands on experience mean that our clients are getting a pool custom designed to suit their budget and the style of their house and garden.

I love that Dominic does not ‘up-sell’ clients – he tells it as it is and suggests exactly what they need for their particular situation. Dominic is on top of all the latest equipment – what is reliable, what is cost effective and what works. Because Momentum pools are also very expert at hard landscaping, they have saved our clients money by being able to complete all the paving around the pool as well as the rest of the garden if required.
