Here at Momentum Pools, we design and build numerous pools throughout Melbourne’s Eastern and Southern suburbs, and all the way down to the Mornington Peninsula. Our main goal is to create pools that not only fit the brief, but represent their new owner’s personality.
Fun times in the pool with friends is a part of the Australian experience that we have all grown to know and love. Our client base is largely made up of young and new families who desire to invest in their quality of life. They want to invest in their homes in a way that allows them to relax, and give their children the chance to create those quintessentially Australian memories made up of pin drops and belly flops.
Recent years have seen suburbs like Glen Iris bring more and more young families wanting to improve their family lifestyle.
Previously, it would have been unusual for suburbs like this to have so many residences with swimming pools, as most families at the time were working or middle class. But a new generation of young builders and professionals have breathed new life into the area with an increase in home value with extensions and upgrades, usually including swimming pools.
Below are some great examples of our Glen Iris pools.
Family Glen Iris Pool
This pool is a great example of a family orientated pool that wanted to get the most out of their back yard.
To maximise space and efficiency, the pool was built along the property boundary, turning the stone wall into a great feature that complements the clean aesthetic of the pool.
A marriage of new and old styles create a fantastic contrast.
The glass fencing creates a seamless transition between yard and pool, creating an illusion of space that keeps everything feeling open and spacious. It also enables parents to keep an eye on their kids as they splash around, offering extra safety and peace of mind.
There is a full length bench seat in the pool for relaxing with a drink as well as a slightly raised spa for the parents to relax while the kids play.
The deep blue tiles complement the warm wood panel wall at the end of the pool, bringing a great pop of colour to the yard.

Minimalist Glen Iris Pool
In contrast to the family orientated pool above, this pool is a great example of a minimalist pool design.
The home this pool is connected to is very rectangular and modern. The lack of fencing surrounding this pool creates a very open plan entertaining area suitable for a party environment.
The pool is very simplistic in design, with only a small bench seat acting as a step into the pool.
It is mainly for active swimming and floating around with friends.
The minimal features, deep blue tiles and open plan aesthetics give the pool a beautifully understated elegance.
The underwater lighting creates fantastic ambiance that contrasts well with the lighting emanating from the full wall windows that lead out into this elegant entertainment area.
